• The Proper Way to Gamble on Electronic Poker

    [ English ]

Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be enjoyed in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at your house on your computer, through an Internet account. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the best combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it is very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.

The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the gambler has selected which cards he wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to pick the most beneficial game each time.

As soon as the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation another round is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
